Sky Watch Friday

Borgholm Castle, as I also posted for Monochrome last monday. This was taken a warm, beautiful summerday last year. Suddenly the darkest clouds came from nowhere. Minutes after those pictures were taken, it was so dark and rainy that the cars on the road had to stop for a while.

For more Sky Watch photos, visit the Sky watch site - Sky watch was Dots idea, now hosted by Sandy, Wren, Klaus, Fishing Guy and Ivar.

Veldig fine bilder Lene!

The sky looks very dramatic. I'm not surprised a storm was brewing. Love both photos!

Et sådant fantastiskt moln. Det ser ut som borgen skulle brinna med en massa tjock rök som kommer från den. Väldigt fina bilder det här. Speciellt den brinnande borgen.

Leene, your photos are amazing, the castle looks like it has just burnt down and is stil smoking, a bit like our house just after the fire with the empty windows and doorways and glowing from the inside as though all the ights were left on.
The landscape is so green and vibrant topped by those great tumbling clouds.
I forgot to mention in your post below the car that rally impresse me and you obviously singled out for the same reason..the one that looked like a skull with the hollow eyes...

Very powerful clouds! Have a great weekend, Lene :)

Nice pictures, it almost looks as though there's smoke coming out of the building!

Cloudy sky but I think between the building and the clouds it makes for a interesting photo.

Spectacular clouds, and the castle makes for an even more entrancing photo. The clouds are even better in the second one, however!

Beautiful yet threatening skies!! I love your entries this week! They remind me of one of my favorite movies that I used to watch with my kids - "The Neverending Story". It had skies like this in it right before the monster would appear.

Great captures!

Wai Yien said...

very dramatic evening sky...love the foreground very much, great perspective.

George said...

The clouds look very ominous, but they are also beautiful. You've captured drama in both of these.

Now there's some threatening clouds, no wonder they came down on you like that. Very well captured for SWF. Have a great weekend!

Fantastic dramatic atmospheric pictures!

An evil-looking cloud indeed. Both pictures are great - the second one is my favourite with the different layers of cloud and the storm brewing in between (or is an alien starship going to emerge in a second -?) - and the contrasting green.

Sharon said...

Yes, those clouds mean business!! Your photos are breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL!!

Gorgeous skies! The first one looks like the clouds are pouring into the castle. So eerie!

Your blog is very lovely. I'd love to know how you were able to make your photos so large. I can barely see mine anymore with my 'older' eyes. hah!

If you care to share some HTML tips I'd be ever so grateful. :)
